About The Author
A former Executive Assistant US Attorney in Chicago, Mr. Tarun has tried over 50 jury trials and conducted sensitive investigations for multinational companies in over 60 countries. A Fellow and former Regent of the American College of Trial Lawyers, he was named Best Lawyers in America® 2017 White-Collar Criminal Defense Lawyer of the Year in San Francisco. He taught as a Lecturer-in-Law White Collar Criminal Practice at the University of Chicago Law School for five years. Mr. Tarun was appointed the first criminal antitrust monitor in U.S. history (United States v. AU Optronics Corp. No. CR-09-0110 (N.D. Cal.)). His treatise THE FOREIGN CORRUPT PRACTICES ACT HANDBOOK (ABA,) which Mr. Peter Tomczak co-authored beginning in 2018, was the Winner of the 2024 Book of the Year in Law by American BookFest. Mr. Tarun has an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University.
